HORSE(S) OF THE MONTH

The day I asked for my first riding lesson was the day my parents learned that money does buy happiness. After I started riding, my parents soon joined in. We found it a great way to spend quality family time. We all soon developed a close friendship with Sam and Vicki. Soon we were attending dinners and sipping wine together. Now we have found a permanent home at Painted M ranch.

Within the time period of watching the barn grow, we have had 4 horses in and out of Painted M. We currently house our black Morgan, Sidney, and our chestnut Morgan, Image at the ranch. Image is most recognizable for his orange appearance and has become a popular addition to the lesson program. Sidney is our "not so much a show horse, but they keep trying" horse that can be seen running thru the back pasture. Though running around step stools and roping the stool is not really a sport, my dad and I seem to enjoy it.

We also own a show horse that moved from Painted M to Columbia, Mo. Though he hasn’t told me recently I'm sure he misses his luxury stall and extra feeding times of the day! Our last horse Chida recently retired to the vacation spot of St. Joseph, Mo., though she hasn’t written since her vacation started.

Through all the hassle and bustle of owning these wonderful horses, my parents and I have found great happiness not only with just our horses but also at Painted M ranch riding with our friends. So the next time someone tells you that money doesn’t buy happiness, you should consider my father, who believes that every time he writes that board check a smile appears on my face.

The Medved clan very much enjoys our time at the ranch, Our horses are well cared for and very happy! So if you are walking around the barn with an extra treat in your hand, Image would love to visit with you!
